It begins!

So my second freshers week is over, and its time to start lectures! I doubt that I'll be updating much now, my internet provider is being a dick and needs to set up a new link or some voodoo, but I should be back next weekend with a massive update :)

In other news, everyone needs to listen to Serj Tankians new album, send me a message if you want a spotify invite, but this album is amazing!

Drunken CoD!

Last night I went out drinking with some friends, got quite drunk, had a great game of pool and listened to a real crappy live band, and came back home at the early hours of the morning. I thought it would be a brilliant idea to get on skype and play some call of duty with some people in belgium. After getting knifed about 192372398054743209854723905423 times, causing us to lose every game, and getting about 2 kills across all the games we played, I've decided not to play when drunk! I'll kick anyones ass while sober though :)

I think I found the next big comedian!

Ok, this guy is truely a professional.
http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1941510
Not only does he start with a dance he calls the "Jack me up", but he starts singing at least 4 times in 5 minutes! Alright I'll cut the crap, he really does suck. I just hope that he gets a good crowd when he performs this, but I reackon most of the crowd will be horrified when they see a guy as old as their dad shouting "TITTIES AND BEER".

Black Books

This TV show really avoided the popularity it deserves. If more people watched it, it would have gained the cult following that Little Britain or IT Crowd have. It consisted of little known actors at the time: Dylan Moran (now a stand up comedian!), Tasmin Greig (Green Wing, Shaun of the Dead) and Bill Bailey who was actually in a few things before hand, but hes much bigger now doing Stand up tours across britain.
The show was about a bad tempered Irish book keeper, and the day to day adventures you could only expect in a book shop! The standard of comedy in this is so high because the writer was a writer for Father Ted and the IT Crowd as well. If you're british you can watch all of the episodes here:

I really recommend it, you won't be disappointed!

Ok, so I was wrong

I got myself set up at my new house, and the internet contract from the last people is still in effect, so I'm using their internet until our new one comes through! So I'll still be updating pretty damn frequently :)

University Time!

Back to university today, and the house I'm moving into has no internet yet. I'll probably be back updating in about a week when they finally hook it up. See y'all a bit later :)

Nobody Likes Onions

Nobody Likes Onions (NLO) was the first podcast I ever listened to. I decided to subscribe to it after I saw the video linked at the bottom. I've always been into comedy that some people would find incredibly insensitive or bad taste, and making a kids character called Towery is just one of the many things I find hilarious. Led by Patrick Melton and 588 episodes in, they're still doing the same style of comedy with new co-hosts almost every show, it never gets boring! These podcasts are never as long as the RBR ones, they're only an hour, but Patrick brings them out almost every day. Really great cast to get into, I recommend this to everyone with no moral compass!

Off to uni!

2 days left of my summer before I return to university! I am really excited to get back, I have so much fun at university and feel a great sense of self worth when I'm actually using my time efficiently instead of browsing the internet all day or playing WoW. The only problem is though, I have no idea when my student loan is going to come through into my account. I'm going to Freshers Week even though I'm on my second year, so I'll be spending a hell of alot of money on alcohol. If my loan comes through then I should be fine, but if not I might have to cut back a little! Does anyone know the cheapest way to get drunk? :D

RedBarRadio

So as my post before stated, these guys are great. They're pretty much everything I love, sitting around a table drinking and talking about anything that comes to mind, and making it hilarious in the process. The owner of the podcast, Mike David, has such a quick thinking mind. If someone throws him an insult he will throw another better one straight back at them, something that no normal person can do. Some of his stories, completely made up rubbish by the way, are hilarious. Here is one of them

Expect alot more of this if you subscribe to their podcast!

Top Stand Up!

So like many people, I love stand up comedy. To persue my love of comedians I have subscribed to several podcasts to find some really great talented people that aren't well known, but should be. I have a MASSIVE hatred for rubbish "comedians" that steal other peoples jokes with no credit, and just mess them up but are still considered gods for their "work". People like Andy Parsons take the work away from brilliant comics who really deserve a big break, but lets not get into that just yet.
So these podcasts I listen to are incredibly entertaining, and you should definately subscribe to them too. They are "Red Bar Radio" - http://redbarradio.com/ and Nobody Likes Onions - http://nobodylikesonions.com/ . I have been listening to these guys for about 3 years now, and still their performances are as hilarious as the first time I listened! I'll be updating more in due time, stay funny interwebs!
